Bound in contemporary full brown calf, boards double-ruled in gilt, and decoratively ruled in blind, spines tooled in blind and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands (both volumes rebacked with later spines, spines sunned and worn, some wear, light soiling to boards, hinges starting, some occasional foxing to text and plates). The G. R. Clarke copy with his (her?) bookplate on both fps. Very good.
