An uncommon small version of Seutter’s map of the Turkish Empire, published in the ‘Atlas Minor’. It was engraved c.1744 by Lotter, Seutter’s son-in-law, and published after he took over the firm.
Uncommon version of this small map of the Ottoman Empire extending from the Balkans and the north African coast through Arabia the Black Sea. Decorated with a small compass rose and a title cartouche (uncolored) featuring Turkish merchants, an angel and Mercury.
