Although she remained in the shadow of her famous husband Lew, Susa Wallace was herself an accomplished writer who published six books and many magazine articles and poems. This work is a collection of essays based mainly on her travels in Palestine and Turkey (with much description of religious practices and daily life) but also covering Florence, Dresden and London.
